Costa Rica: an oasis of tranquility

Costa Rica is a narrow strip of land between the Caribbean Sea and the Pacific Ocean. Unlike its neighboring Central American countries, Panama and Nicaragua, Costa Rica has always been an oasis of tranquility. This country is a stable democracy and is one of the few countries in the world without an army. The economic situation here is not bad either: Costa Rica is relatively prosperous and has a higher standard of living than other Central American countries.

    A great destination for eco-tourists

Costa Rica has twelve (!) different climate zones with a rich biodiversity – a natural treasure that the country closely guards. Both Pacific and Caribbean coasts are lined with tropical beaches. Costa Rica also has active volcanoes, rushing rivers, majestic rainforests, ethereal cloud forests and lushly forested hills. Its scenic wonders are absolutely breathtaking, particularly since flowering plants are in bloom year round along its extensive coastal areas. And no less than a third of the country consists of protected national parks and nature preserves.
