Martinair has joined the Air France KLM loyalty program Flying Blue which made it possible to earn and spend Flying Blue Award Miles on Martinair flights. This means you can now start earning Award Miles when traveling Martinair as usual and save for great offers and award tickets, or start choosing Martinair by spending your earned Award Miles on one of our many destinations.

It has never been easier to earn Award Miles for award tickets, upgrades, hotel and car rental packages and many, many more great offers. Every time you fly with Martinair you earn Award Miles. Even when you keep your feet on the ground, you can earn Award Miles with the non-airline partners in the Flying Blue program. You just take care of the spending part. It’s your choice!

Flying Blue membership levels

Flying Blue provides exclusive service in each of its four tiers of membership: Ivory, Silver, Gold or Platinum. The color of your Flying Blue membership card represents the level you're in. Each level offers its own benefits and privileges.

All Flying Blue members traveling with Martinair are entitled to benefits in relation to their Flying Blue level. The benefits per level are as follows:

KLM Lounge Access

Martinair provides lounge access for all Flying Blue members who at least have Gold member status. You can enjoy the following lounge access benefits:

• Friendly, peaceful environment, comfortable seating and ample lighting for reading/working
• Work space equipped with telephone and data ports and free Internet access and free local telephone calls, subject to availability
• Ample reading material including magazines and newspapers
• Complimentary hot and cold beverages and snacks
• Readily accessible flight departure information
• Invite one other guest to the lounge

Flying Blue Award Miles & Level Miles

With Martinair you can earn Award Miles. Award Miles add up to great offers: from award tickets to hotel and car rental packages. If you are a Flying Blue member, your Award Miles are valid for life as long as you fly at least once every 20 months with AIR FRANCE, KLM, Air Europa, Kenya Airways or Air Calin or one of the SkyTeam member airlines.

• Flights booked with Award Miles will not count towards extending the period for which your Award Miles are valid
• For Elite members (Silver, Gold and Platinum members): From 1 April 2009, your Flying Blue Elite status will protect your Award Miles from expiring as long as you keep your Elite level
• To upgrade your Flying Blue membership level you need to earn Level Miles. Currently it is not possible to earn Level Miles on Martinair flights

How to earn Award Miles?

If you choose to fly with Martinair, all miles flown are generally rewarded with one Award Mile. The total number of Award Miles credited to your account depends on the distance of your flight and the booking class you travel in. Martinair applies the following booking classes which are eligible for earning Award Miles:

To earn your Award Miles make sure you register your Flying Blue number when booking your ticket or when checking in.
Award tickets, Air Miles tickets and tickets in specific packaged holidays are excluded for earning Award Miles. These tickets are W, E and G class tickets. The class is visible on your ticket.

How to spend Award Miles?

The Award Miles you earn add up to numerous great offers. From award tickets and upgrades to safaris, car racing, helicopter flights, and much, much more. You can spend your Award Miles on Martinair flights by logging into your personal Flying Blue account or by contacting the Flying Blue Service Centers.

Retro claims for flown Award Miles

Have you flown Martinair but not received your Award Miles or have you forgotten to register your Flying Blue number? No problem. You can still claim your Award Miles by logging into your personal Flying Blue account and filling out the form or by contacting the Flying Blue Service Centers.
