All handluggage is put on an assembly-belt during the surveillance, to be checked by the Airport employees, using a scanner. This is also the place where will be checked if someone brought liquids in the handluggage. If you want to take liquids with you in your handluggage, make sure that you pack this according to the most recent regulations before departure.
If you carry liquids and gels not properly packed in your handluggage, it can be taken from you by the security officestaff. Before the surveillancepoints there are special prepared spots where you can get a plastic bag to pack your liquids and gels properly.
With the handluggage surveillance all liquids must be offered separately. The transparant plastic bag must be big enough for the liquids and gels to fit in it. Also jackets, suits and big electronics, like notebooks are to be offered separately.
Comfort Class upgrades to and from Amsterdam are purchased via our website at within 90days of departure on each Martinair flight segment. Economy class ticket purchase required before upgrade can be done. Comfort Class upgrades are non-refundable, non-changeable and non-transferable. Based on availability, upgrades may also be purchased at the Martinair airport counter within three hours of departure. For further information please check our website or call Martinair Reservations.
As the instructions for every destination differs visiting the page under Services entitled Baggage on our website will give you detailed instructions on what to do.
KLM currently owns 50% of Martinair, however Martinair does operate autonomously from KLM. Martinair does participate in KLM's Flying Dutchman program on a limited basis, and has an interline agreement which allows Martinair to offer competitive rates to destinations in Europe, Asia, Scandinavia, the Middle East, and Africa.
Martinair offers a wide variety of special meals for passengers with dietary restrictions.
